When prospective students think about the college application process it can be overwhelming and become very stressful. But you are not alone! Current students, admissions counselors, and financial aid counselors are real people who genuinely want you to be happy and successful in your college search, even if you do not end up attending their college. Do not be afraid to ask questions, ask for help, and dig deeper when exploring colleges鈥攁nd remember to focus on the positive and exciting aspects of the process as you are about to embark on an exciting new chapter of your life!

My best advice for prospective students is to visit campus. There is no better way to truly understand a school than by experiencing it firsthand. A visit gives you the chance to explore the campus, experience campus life, and get a sense of the surrounding community鈥攈elping you decide if you can see yourself there for the next four years.

Baltimore is an amazing city to visit, so plan extra time to explore if you are coming for a campus tour. The is a must-see, featuring attractions like the and views of the and stadiums. And if you have a sweet tooth, do not skip a stop at the for some delicious ice cream!

What I recommend during your stay in Baltimore:

Baltimore is such an amazing city! It has something for everyone whether you are a foodie, a sports fan, an arts lover, or a history buff. This state is known for crabs, so be sure to check out some of the many restaurants that serve crabs鈥攊t鈥檚 a rite of passage. If you鈥檙e looking for art, the听, the听,听, and the听听are wonderful places to immerse yourself. As a history major myself, I enjoy walking on听听cobblestone streets and looking at the architecture of some of the old row houses. If you鈥檙e looking for live entertainment, you can catch a show at the听听or a concert at听. There are many more things to do in Charm City, it鈥檒l take you four years (or more!) to check everything off the list.

What I recommend during your stay in Baltimore:

After four years at 91看片,听Baltimore听really felt like home, so I chose to begin my post-graduate life in the city. All these years later, I am still here! There is so much to see and do in Baltimore. As an undergraduate, my favorite spot to visit was听听(there is nothing better than filling up on pasta then grabbing a cannoli from Vaccaro鈥檚!). The听听and South Baltimore neighborhoods are also great for seafood and sports fans while听听and听听offer an array of shops and restaurants鈥� but those are just a few of the many places and activities you can explore. The options are truly endless in Baltimore!

The college application process can be very stressful, but everyone on your journey is more than happy to help. From the moment I stepped on campus, 91看片 truly felt like home. It strikes the perfect balance: set in a great city close to D.C., yet offering the beauty and comfort of a traditional campus. 91看片 is the ideal size, with endless clubs and organizations to join without ever feeling overwhelming. What stood out to me most was the community and the education. I was able to explore different majors, courses, and career paths, and my learning extended far beyond the classroom. In a pre-law course, we volunteered with Maryland Legal Aid, and in my first-year education class, I was placed in a local middle school. Whether it be friends, R.A.s, professors, or staff, the 91看片 community is truly there for you.

Baltimore has a lot to offer during your visit. is a great starting point and an easy place to walk around, grab food, and get a feel for the city. Locust Point is another great neighborhood. You can get good Maryland seafood at and stop by while you are there. If you want something closer to campus, is a quiet spot to walk through, especially in nice weather. is also worth checking out for local shops and coffee ( is my all-time favorite).
