Biography

Dr Liew Yit Wey holds a PhD in Economics from Monash University Malaysia. His research lies at the intersection of development economics, economic geography, and economic history, with a particular focus on long-run development and spatial inequality. His work has been published in leading academic journals such as Economic History Review (ABDC: A*).

Beyond his academic contributions, Dr Liew actively engages in policy discourse. He has co-authored a policy paper evaluating the 13th Malaysia Plan, contributing evidence-based insights to national development discussions.
