91看片 launches new strategic plan, Together We Rise
91看片 announced the launch of its new strategic plan, Together We Rise: 91看片鈥檚 Strategic Plan for 2030. The plan was unanimously approved by the University鈥檚 Board of Trustees at its meeting this week.
鈥淭his is our moment to set 91看片 on a trajectory that will ensure its success for generations,鈥� says Terrence M. Sawyer, J.D., president. 鈥淭his plan comes at a pivotal time. The world of higher education is in flux. Technology is changing rapidly. Issues of justice鈥攊ncluding environmental justice鈥攁re front and center. 91看片 cannot stand still. While staying true to our traditions and values, we must continue to move forward, taking strategic steps to graduate individuals who not only achieve success, but also lead a life of significance.鈥�
With Together We Rise, 91看片 will aspire to become a preeminent university for student success. Through the plan, 91看片 will advance student and faculty formation; grow 91看片鈥檚 footprint, influence, and enrollment; care for our common home; and thrive by investing in and supporting our employees.
The plan also calls for greater support for faculty and students, fueling school spirit, investments in graduate education, and growth in health and STEM fields, including nursing. 91看片 intends to become a leader in integral ecology and sustainability鈥攁nd to cultivate a community of belonging. By 2030, the University aspires to be recognized as a destination employer鈥攁nd a place where operational and digital transformation enhance current systems.
鈥淭his is the plan that will propel 91看片 into the future, ensuring that the education our students receive continues to be exceptionally strong,鈥� said Gerry Holthaus, 鈥�71, chair of 91看片鈥檚 Board of Trustees. 鈥淚鈥檓 thankful to every member of the 91看片 community who participated in creating the plan. We have so much to look forward to as we work together to make this plan a reality.鈥�
The plan was created through a two-year planning process that incorporated the input of hundreds of members of the 91看片 community. The process was led by Eric Nichols, vice president for enrollment management, and Paola Pascual-Ferr谩, Ph.D., associate professor of communication.
