This course introduces students to the concepts, capabilities, and practical applications of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in
creative and productivity contexts. Students will explore how generative AI tools can assist in ideation, content generation, and problem-solving across various domains. The course focuses on understanding the fundamentals of generative AI, developing effective prompting strategies, and analysing AI-generated outputs for creative and productive purposes. Through asynchronous online learning materials, guided demonstrations, and interactive quizzes, students will develop foundational knowledge and practical awareness of generative AI technologies and their responsible use.

On completing the course, students will be able to:

• Explain the key concepts, capabilities, and limitations of generative AI for creativity and productivity tasks
• Apply prompting strategies to generate outputs using generative AI tools
• Analyse generative AI outputs to support creativity and productivity tasks
